Saint Somewhere

I grew up on a lake, and drawing and painting boats and water has always been part of my work. This series includes some of my earliest artwork beginning with boat drawings started during a snowstorm in college to Caribbean paintings in my mid-twenties. If you know where the name Saint Somewhere comes from, then you know whose music I was listening to while working on most of the paintings in this series.

Portrait of the artist Terry Smith taken in 2014 with selections from his Saint Somewhere series of paintings. The work displayed was created from 1999 to 2003 between the ages of 24-28.
